Requirements:

  • Minimum Vocational High School/Associate Degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years as a therapist, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of spa treatments, products, and wellness trends.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Willing to work in shifts.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Good English communication skills

Job Description:

  • Oversee daily spa operations, ensure service quality, and uphold SOP standards.
  • Provide exceptional guest experiences, address concerns, and promote wellness offerings.
  • Manage scheduling, inventory, and reports while ensuring SOP adherence.
  • Train and mentor therapists to maintain high service standards and professionalism.
  • Promote treatments, services, and events to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure all treatment rooms and equipment are well-maintained and stocked.

Operational

  • To assist in the smooth and efficient operation of Juvia Wellness Centre.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of:
  • All Spa & wellness service and product
  • Schedule daily individual and group activities
  • All professional and retail product line and treatment product needs
  • Vendor information and resources
  • Able to teach all the spa services based on SOP at all ability level.
  • To provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following the Standards of Performance and Policy and Procedure.
  • To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate tasks to sub ordinates to the standard set.
  • Please note that Master Task Lists are reviewed and changed on a regular bases reflecting change in trends, guest expectations and operating philosophies.
  • To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub departments of The Spa or Wellness Centre
  • To perform opening and closing procedures established for the place of work as assigned.
  • To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of spa services and products and the ability to up sell alternatives.
  • To ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
  • To monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.
  • To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints, incident or problems to The Spa leaders if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
  • To attend meeting as and when required
  • To allocate duties to subordinate staff.
  • To inspect staff & equipment.
  • Communication of staff problems and dealing with difficult staff.
  • To control and make sure therapist follow treatment procedure at all time during service delivery. And make periodically update base on operation needs.
  • Must ensure that the therapist adhere to appointment timings.
  • Monitor status of all equipment and notify the Wellness Manager if there are any maintenance or repair needs. Promptly record equipment issues in the log book i.e. Fixtures missing etc, and notify the engineering maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure that the therapist restock professional products in designated treatment room by completing the stock order sheet to ensure that the rooms are fully stocked at all times.
  • Promote events and promotions to all guests.
  • Responsible for achieving daily Spa sales targets and contributing to monthly spa team target.
  • To perform professional massage service to guests as and when required (Team leader- therapist).
  • To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the management.
  • To be flexible in the job function and perform any other reasonable duties and assigned (Willing to become multi skilled and perform multi tasks).
  • Provide familiarization programme for new employees of other departments.
  • To conduct refresher training for current employees and train new employees.

Guest Service

  • Ensure a high level of guest relations, service and communication by providing prompt and courteous personalized service.
  • Establishing rapport with guests, meeting and exceeding their expectations.
  • Satisfy guest requests for information by displaying extensive knowledge of the spa or wellness facilities.
  • Lead and motivate employees to a level of service, which exceeds all guests’ expectations.
  • Work in liaison with spa reception at all times for guest services and activities.
  • Ensure that he/she maintains an up to date awareness of current promotions, policy changes and memorandums.
  • Responsible for maintenance, overseeing of all spa equipment and treatment rooms.
  • To continually keep abreast of all new technology, trends and equipment relating to the various components of the spa and recommend to Wellness Manager or Assistant Wellness Manager any innovations and/or changes to the facility or services offered.

Administration

  • Maintaining the daily log book, manually and or through computer
  • Assist in maintaining up-to-date records of all implemented guest-related
  • Effective scheduling of all service and special programming.Assist in the development and adherence of standard Operating Procedure manual and Policy and procedure.
  • Is responsible for overseeing spa attendant/Locker attendant, therapist and ensuring that all Operation manuals, policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Responsible for ensuring correct level of stock for Spa professional and retail product line, Locker- amenities, stationary and other related order for Spa, supplies is strictly controlled and kept in accordance with the stock maintenance check lists.
  • Ensure that all treatment room related forms and reports are updated and completed in time.
  • Provide training and development of staff to ensure that the highest standards of service are achieved and maintained.
  • To handle lost property as per established policy and procedures.
  • Make monthly order for Spa professional and retail product line, stationary and other related order for Spa or Wellness Centre
  • To conduct employee evaluation for all direct report, to review existing performance and identify any Areas for further development and improvement
